We get this call at around 10:00 pm from Justin's scout leader saying he thinks Justin broke his arm. Now keep this in mind that Justin is my most cautious, most careful child. If it looks remotely dangerous... he will not do it. So he was sledding at Pine Valley and went down a driveway and didn't crash or anything but hit hard on the right side. He got up and went into the bathroom to look at it... and realized it was broken. He then proceeded to let his leaders know that he thinks his arm might be broken. They gave him a blessing and drove him to Dixie Hospital in St. George where Allen met up with them. When I texted him... "Is it broke"? The next picture is what he sent me!
They said you might want to get a hold of a good orthopedic surgeon.
They were able to set both bones and put him in a full cast and check-ups every week to make sure it is setting and healing properly.
Justin realizing that the doctor put on a pink cast? Why?
Funny doctor... just wrapped the bottom in pink but didn't wet it... Justin really thought he had a pink cast!
Two weeks later... looks good. We just might be out the woods! No surgery if the next two weeks go just as well as the first two!!
